The house has been standing since 1929, but we need end-consumer for computers only from 1965, since a computer factory appears in the game in 1965. In 1965, computers cost as much as a house. Therefore, no Simcitizen can afford a computer privately, but such an expense can be worthwhile for the admnistration, large companies and city councils. This is why more and more cities switch to paperless workflow. From 1980, the first small computers were offered in department stores.

Das Haus ist zwar schon von 1929, aber wir brauchen einen Endverbraucher für Computer ab 1965, da wir ab 1965 eine Computerfabrik im Spiel haben. 1965 kosten Computer so viel wie ein Haus. Daher kann sich kein Simbürger privat einen Computer leisten, aber für den Staat, große Firmen und Stadtverwaltungen kann sich ein solch teurer Computer lohnen. Deshalb stellen immer mehr Stadtverwaltungen auf EDV um. Ab 1980 werden dann erste kleine Computer in Warenhäuser angeboten.
