Special locomotive of the Lübeck-Büchener Eisenbahn (LBE) for rapid transport between Hamburg and Lübeck. To this locomotive belongs the two LBE double-decker cars. With this combination, push-pull train operation is possible. In pushed operation, the controller was operated by the locomotive driver in the control position using a servomotor. After nationalization, an attempt was made to use these locomotives as class 60 in normal operation, which failed miserably. They were designed for high-speed traffic in the northern German plains.

Speziallok der Lübeck-Büchener Eisenbahn (LBE) für den Schnellverkehr zwischen Hamburg und Lübeck. Zu dieser Lok gehören die beiden Doppelstockwagen LBE. Bei diese Kombination ist Wendezugbetrieb möglich. Der Regler wurde im geschobenen Betrieb mittels Stellmotor vom Lokführer im Steuerstand aus bedient. Nach der Verstaatlichung wurde versucht diese Loks als Baureihe 60 im normalen Betrieb einzusetzen, was kläglich scheiterte. Sie waren für den Schnellverkehr im norddeutschen Flachland konstruiert worden.
