Upload Texts

This tool allows you to upload whole Simutrans translation file to the SimuTranslator. It is not intended to be used by general translators.

Please take extra care to ensure, that you are uploading a correct file to a correct destination. Uploading the file to the wrong destination can result in a replacement of existing texts and loss of large amounts of work. In this case, please contact administrator immediately.

No dummy English entries should be uploaded to other languages, check the input file for that!

The only accepted input file structure is the structure of scenario specific translation files for Simutrans. This means one line (odd line) is the object name and the second line (even) is the translation text (on one line, no line breaks). Be careful, base translation files must be adjusted before upload - SimuTranslator cannot handle the first line with language name.

Entries with no matching object definition found in the SimuTranslator database will be discarded during upload.

Input Type

This field determines whether you will upload a file containing the texts or paste the texts through the clipboard to the browser window. Due to the server related issues, file import is limited to the ASCII files only, so input through the clipboard is strongly recommended.

Remove Line Breaks (\n)?

This choice determines if all existing line breaks should be removed from the text. It is strongly suggested to do so, since SimuTranslator places new line-breaks automatically each time when the translation file is generated.
